Communicate (Rapid English) is an IT programme designed for adults and young people, to develop their communication skills. It identifies literacy and communication gaps by using a diagnostic tool and indicating activities to address them.
Communicate (Rapid English) is delivered on a one to one basis in approximately one hour slots that encourage the learner to maintain ownership of their learning.
The programme allows the learner to consider the areas of priority and work on those first, moving between other identified areas and the varied activities to address their needs, avoiding monotony with the course. It provides quick feedback and highlights improvements, consequently, it is attractive to learners with dyslexia, ADHD, the reluctant and disengaged and vulnerable adults and adolescents. The course allows learners to work on their handwriting, reading development, speaking and listening and sentences and paragraphs. The rapid improvement in use of English and instant feedback encourages and motivates, impacting on confidence and self-esteem in all areas of life, as communication is paramount. At the start of the diagnostic section of the programme a baseline table, with levels for each section, is generated for individual learners. On completion, a similar table is created so the learner can see the amount of improvement compared with the baseline. A Communicte (Rapid English) certificate is generated on completion of the course.
Some of our current experiences with students
It is apparent from the learners we have been working with that they not only developed their English/language and communication skills, but also we have recognised vast improvement in their confidence since completing the Communicate (Rapid English) programme. For example , They have become more confident in conversations with strangers, compared to not being able to make eye contact or go to interviews to gain employment within around five sessions of Communicate (Rapid English).
The Communicate (Rapid English) course has excited learners using IT, a variety of activities and materials, the course content and independence and the learning flexibility it gives learners.
Learning outcomes … Development and progress…..

Communicate (Rapid English) creates results tables before and after the course to show the learner their improvement throughout the course in numerical form.
